This page gives parents and swimmers clear, simple answers to the most common questions about our programs, policies, and lessons in North Ryde and North Turramurra. Whether you’re new to swimming or already part of our community, you’ll find everything you need here.
Most of our classes run for 30 minutes. However, the Dolphin class is longer and goes for 45 minutes. If you’d like to know which class is best for your child, you can also ask our AI assistant chatbot for instant help.
f your child is seriously unwell or injured, please contact us at mehdi@funtoswim.com. In some cases, we may arrange special considerations, and a doctor’s certificate may be required.
We aim to provide the best customer experience possible, so there is no notice period required to cancel. Families simply need to drop the session from their customer portal before the start of the month, as this is when direct debits are processed. You can even cancel the day before the 1st of the month. Please note that once charges have been processed, no credits or make-up lessons will be provided.
Yes. Re-enrolment is very easy with our iClassPro system. Parents can log into their portal and re-enrol directly without needing to contact the office. If you prefer, our team can also complete the process for you.
No, we are closed on public holidays, and families are not charged for those days. However, if your child normally swims once per week and you’d like to keep the routine, we can schedule the missed class as a single make-up session. Please note this will be charged separately.

Our pool is a mineral pool, which means there is little to no chlorine. As a result, children can comfortably open their eyes underwater, and they won’t smell of chlorine when they leave the pool. For any other water-quality questions, feel free to ask our AI assistant chatbot.
Yes. All children under 3, or those who are not yet toilet trained, must wear two nappies — a disposable with a reusable on top. We recommend the Happy Nappy brand. If you’re unsure about sizing or where to buy, our AI assistant chatbot can guide you.
Swimwear, including nappies, must not be removed on the pool deck at any time for hygiene reasons. We also enforce a strict “no nappy, no swim” policy. All children under 3 years old, or any child not yet toilet trained, must wear a disposable swim nappy with a snug reusable swim nappy over the top. Underwear is not permitted in the pool under any circumstances.
Disposable swimming nappies are compulsory for all non–toilet trained children. We also recommend using a reusable swim nappy on top for extra protection. FuntoSwim partners with Happy Nappy, and families can easily purchase these through our website to collect at their first session, or buy them directly on the day.
We recommend parents and carers wear a rash vest or a loose-fitting t-shirt during lessons. This helps children build independence by reaching for and gripping the fabric while they learn.

Our lesson fees are simple and transparent:
Group Classes: $25 per class (30 minutes, max 4–8 students depending on level)
Semi-Private Lessons: $35 per class (30 minutes, max 2 students)
Private Lessons: $70 per class (30 minutes, one-on-one with a teacher)
We also offer a 5% discount for siblings, multiple lessons, or multi-program enrolments. Please note this discount is capped at 5%.

All lesson fees are processed by direct debit. Payments are taken on the first of each calendar month for that month’s lessons. FuntoSwim runs as a perpetual, year-round program, which means your enrolment continues automatically from month to month until you choose to make a change.
FuntoSwim is a perpetual, year-round program. Lessons continue throughout the year, and we only close for public holidays and a short Christmas break.
Yes, we run Water Safety Week every March, June, September, and December. These sessions help children practice survival skills and learn how to stay safe around water.
No, you don’t need to be a member to join our swim school. However, RSL Club members enjoy a special benefit — their first lesson is only $10. For more details or to see current offers, you can also ask our AI assistant chatbot.
No, food cannot be consumed inside the swim school. This is because some students have food allergies, and we need to keep the environment safe for everyone. If you’d like more guidance on our policies, you can always ask our AI assistant chatbot.
